FORT SMITH, Ark. — Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is on lockdown on Monday due to an armed intruder, according to the hospital. The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) sent out an alert to the public at 10:36 a.m., stating that it was in reference to a "possibly armed" person inside the hospital.
