Burn ban issued for Celebration Park in Canyon County
Canyon County’s Parks, Cultural & Natural Resources Department has issued a fire ban for Celebration Park, effective until further notice. The ban went into effect Monday and applies to campfires, fires in designated fire pits or portable fire pits, pallet fires, rock ring fires and charcoal grills, according to a Canyon County news release. Propane camp stoves will still be allowed while the ban is in effect, the release says. Extreme fire danger persists at Martin’s Landing Campground, prompting the county to impose the burn ban. Violators will be cited, the release says.
