JACKSON, Wyo. — For those wondering why there’s a pile of rubble where the Ranch Inn used to be, a mixed-use condominium and retail building is going up in its place. Construction is underway at the 1.2-acre parcel on Pearl Avenue that includes the addresses of 50 S Cache St and 45 and 75 E Pearl Ave. Three buildings on the block have been demolished, including the Ranch Inn Hotel, the Ranch shops retail building at the corner of Cache and Pearl and the Under the Willow art gallery, which was adjacent to the alley on the block along Cache.

BOISE, Idaho — A skate park project that memorializes the memory of two New Meadows residents has received a large donation, minimizing the gap to its $600,000 goal. Brundage Mountain officials on Tuesday said General Manager Ken Rider donated a check for $10,000 to the Mehen Memorial Skatepark during the mountain's July 19 summer concert series.
