9,180 Idaho grads will receive Launch grants
BOISE - The final numbers on Idaho Launch are in — and 9,180 high school graduates will receive grants this year. State officials have made their final awards for the first-year program, which provides high school graduates with up to $8,000 for college or workforce training aligned with in-demand careers.
Teton Valley Chamber Music Festival begins second season
Tonight marks the first night of the Teton Valley Chamber Music Festival. This being only the second year since the festival’s inception, it has come to be a celebration of music and musicians as well as mentorship and community. Lauren Feldman, who created the festival and works as its general director, is excited about the musical guests performing and showing the audience what the youth program has been working on.
Crews in Idaho Falls Respond to Structure Fire
The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire Monday morning. It happened at a home on the 2000 block of North 31st East. Around 3:00 a.m., a caller reported something was on fire inside the home. When firefighters arrived, one person was still inside the house. Crews were able to get them out safely.
