MCSO: Willits man arrested after woman killed in “violent assault”
A Willits man was arrested on suspicion of homicide Saturday after a woman died following a “violent assault,” the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to the 5200 block of Blue Lakes Road in Willits after multiple callers in the Brooktrails area began reporting around 11:07 a.m. June 29 that a man was “causing a disturbance in the area, with the sounds of yelling and possibly fighting.”
