Election 2024 | Democrat Chris Rogers stops in Arcata for Assembly campaign stop
Editor’s Note: The Times-Standard will be covering candidates in the 2024 election on a regular basis through November. This is part of that coverage. In Arcata, Chris Rogers was hosting a coffee chat Thursday to meet his would-be constituents, if elected to the California State Assembly District 2 seat. Rogers won the democratic primary in March by a slim margin, and is running against Del Norte Republican Mike Greer come November.

Caltrans removes vandal’s racist message from Mendocino County traffic sign
Someone broke into the control box of a Caltrans electronic road sign in Mendocino County over the weekend and typed a racist message onto the sign, an agency spokesperson said Monday.
