Lake Hamilton to Host MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing Championship
Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs will host the 42nd annual Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American Championship for the sixth time, making the city and the lake the most visited destinations in the event’s history. It will be the seventh time for the tournament to be hosted in Hot Springs. Major League Fishing announced that the three-day tournament, scheduled for May 29-31, 2025, will showcase the nation’s best grassroots weekend anglers and offer a top prize of up to $120,000 cash to the winner.
Bonchon restaurant coming to Jonesboro
A South Korean based restaurant will open its first location in Arkansas and it will be in Jonesboro. Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development has announced that Bonchon – which means “my hometown” in Korean – will open a restaurant in the former Premier Auto center on Red Wolf Boulevard.
Ross Dress for Less to open Fayetteville location
A retail chain that sells clothing, shoes, home decor, and other items is coming to Fayetteville. Ross Dress for Less is working to open a location at 3816 Mall Ave., in the building formerly home to Bed Bath & Beyond, according to signs that were recently placed on the building.

Little Rock Basketball Announces Release of 2024-25 Schedule

Wynne City Council votes to add office manager for fire department
WYNNE — The Wynne Fire Department will be adding an officer manager position following a vote last night by the Wynne City Council. Walton-led nonprofit spends $10 million for 11 acres in Bentonville
A limited liability company led by philanthropist Alice Walton, Richard Hosley, and Scott Eccleston recently paid $10 million for 2812 E. Central Ave. in Bentonville. Hosley and Eccleston are executives of Art and Wellness Enterprises, which supports the operating nonprofits Walton founded. Walton is the only daughter of Walmart founders Sam and Helen Walton.
