MENOMINEE — This year’s edition of the U.P. All-Star football game will feature plenty of maroon and white.

Menominee head coach Chad Brandt and four members of his staff will helm Team Red, while six members of the Maroon football team will participate in the 17th annual clash between 84 of the best senior gridiron warriors that the Upper Peninsula has to offer.

The U.P. All-Star Game takes place June 22 at the Superior Dome in Marquette. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. eastern time (noon central).

Trevor Theuerkauf (quarterback), Landan Bardowski (running back), Tyler Smith (center), Eli Beal (wide receiver), Torin Davis (defensive back) and Aaron Brunelle (defensive back) make up Menominee’s All-Star contingent.

Joining Brandt on Team Red’s coaching staff are Lucas Chouinard (receivers), Mason Kewley (defensive coordinator/defensive line), Dave Mathieu (offensive line) and Dave Clarke (assistant offensive line).

Iron Mountain’s Robin Marttila (linebackers) and Kingsford’s Steve Noasconi (defensive backs) and Eric Johnson (defensive line) round out the rest of Team Red’s coaching staff.

Menominee’s Kiefer Chouinard will serve as ball boy/team manager for Team Red.

Gladstone’s Travis Wiltzius will oppose Brandt as head coach of Team Black.

The rosters for both teams were determined by a draft, with all Menominee players assigned to Team Red and all Gladstone players assigned to Team Black.

Team Black chose Kingsford running back Elizin Rouse No. 1 overall, while Team Red made Negaunee’s Kai Lacar (running back) and Kingford’s Noah Johnson (defensive end) its top-two picks.

The full rosters for both teams, as well as coaching staffs, are listed below.
