MENOMINEE — The second annual “Tracy Trot” 5K run/walk will take place June 22 at Menominee High School.

The event is in honor of Tracy Wills-Hall, a 2000 graduate of Menominee High School and standout runner in both cross country and track for the Maroons before starring for the Northern Michigan University cross country team.

Wills-Hall was diagnosed with colon cancer, which metastasized to her liver at the age of 40.

She passed away peacefully in London on February 18, 2023 at the age of 41, leaving behind a husband, Greg, and two children: five-year old Henry and three-year old Sophie.

This year’s Tracy Trot will begin at 8 a.m. in the 22nd street parking lot of Menominee High School. There is a $25 race-only registration fee, or a $30 registration that includes a ‘Tracy Trot’ t-shirt.

T-Shirt orders must be placed by June 12.

There is no registration fee for children under the age of 5.

Proceeds from the race fund the Tracy Wills-Hall Memorial Scholarship, which goes to a Menominee High School student who plans to study abroad.

Tracy’s family will also be holding a UK edition of the Tracy Trot in London on the same day.
