Liquid Death, Van Leeuwen Team Up for Hot Fudge Sundae Water

Liquid Death is teaming up with ice cream maker Van Leeuwen for a brand-new, first-of-its-kind collaboration: Hot Fudge Sundae Sparkling Water. The limited-edition flavor launched on Aug. 13 and is available for purchase exclusively at Van Leeuwen scoop shops nationwide, as well as through Amazon and Liquid Death’s TikTok Shop.

Van Leeuwen is known for its outside-the-box flavors, such as Hidden Valley Ranch and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, but their collaboration with Liquid Death signals new heights for the zany brand.

"We’ve done lots of cool flavors in the past, but never have we brought our ice cream to life in the form of another product,” Van Leeuwen Ice Cream co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen said in a statement shared with Men’s Journal . “We’re excited to team up with a fellow brand that likes to push the boundaries on a fun collab that is a first for us both!”

Greg Fass, Liquid Death’s VP of Marketing, echoed Van Leeuwen’s sentiments. "We've seen a lot of brands make their own flavor of ice cream, but we're the first brand to make ice cream-flavored sparkling water that tastes exactly like a hot fudge sundae,” Fass noted. “We're all about making healthy beverages more fun, so teaming up with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to make the first chuggable, 20-calorie hot fudge sundae was the perfect pairing."

The niche new product is on full display in a commercial posted to social media, in which the product’s consistency appears much closer to Guinness than any water product.
