Sid Eudy, known widely to wrestling fans as Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, has died at the age of 63 following a years-long battle with cancer .

Vicious' son Gunnar Eudy shared the news of his passing in a Facebook post.

"I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed," he wrote. "We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss."

Vicious rose to prominence as part of the World Wrestling Federation, which went on to become World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He was a six-time world champion with two WWF Championship titles, two WCW World Heavyweight Championship titles, and two USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship titles.

During his time in the ring, he was embroiled in bitter rivalries with other wrestling icons like Ric Flair , Hulk Hogan , The Undertaker , and Sting. He competed in his final match against Paul Rosenberg in August 2017 for Great North Wrestling.

Vicious is survived by his sons Gunnar and Frank and his wife Sabrina Paige.
