The Nation's Top-Rated State Park Is a West-Coast Paradise

While our National Parks often get more of the attention , there are plenty of state parks that also offer breathtaking views, inspiring natural wonders, and experiences unlike anywhere else in the country. But which ones do visitors enjoy the most.

To find out, tourism company Niagara Falls Tours & Tickets ran an analysis of TripAdvisor reviews, looking at the nation's nearly 7,000 state parks. It compiled a list of the 10 with the most positive reviews overall, skipping any with fewer than 50 reviews.

Coming out on top is the world-famous Humboldt Redwood State Park in California, where visitors can take in the towering trees the state is known for. Just behind it was Kachemak Bay State Park in Alaska, offering amazing kayaking, fishing, and wildlife spotting.

A pair of state parks in Oregon and one in Virginia rounded out the Top 5.
