MERCED, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Dignity Health Kids Care Clinic in Merced is helping kids get ready for the upcoming school year with their back-to-school fair on Saturday, July 27.

The back-to-school fair will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will offer children a variety of free backpacks as well as free physicals and immunizations.

Officials with the clinic say in order to get a backpack children must be present and school-aged (K-12). Backpacks will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

For immunizations, parents are asked to bring their child’s immunization card and identification. To secure a spot for a sports physical or immunization parents can call (209) 564-4500.

“Seeing their faces and excitement makes it such a special event. Not to mention, everything being offered is completely free of charge,” Communications Manager with Dignity Health Lindsey Wine said.
