Sentencing delayed for former dog breeder who had 200 dogs seized
MERCER Co., Ill. (KWQC) - A sentencing hearing was delayed for Karen Plambeck, the Sherrard woman who was found guilty on 11 charges of animal cruelty. Plambeck‘s sentencing is now set for Sept. 16 at the Mercer County courthouse after her attorney withdrew from the case, court records show.
Viola Boyz set two nights of action for Mercer County Fair
Viola Boyz Demo Promotors will hold two events at the Mercer County Fair this week. The 2024 Mercer County Fair is at the fairgrounds in Aledo. Wednesday will bring the “Night of Destruction” to the fair and will include the four- and six-cylinder car races around the race track, a school bus race, a trailer race, and a finale with the school bus demolition derby. Randy Buzard, former East Moline Speedway announcer, will take the mic to give the play-by-play action during the event.
