35 year old Douglas Leistenschneider of Saint Henry is in the Mercer County Jail on drug charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning. According to a complaint filed in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, Leistenschneider was pulled over at approximately 1 am on US 127 after the police observed several traffic violations as he was being observed due to narcotics complaints about a semi. Once Leistenschneider was pulled over, a Mercer County Sheriff K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs. After a search, the police recovered 2 small pills and 8 grams of methamphetamine. Leistenschneider is charged with a felony count of possession of drugs. He is being held on $100,000 bond. To read the complaint against Leistenschneider:
