WA Auditor’s Report Raises Concerns over WSDA Egg Inspections
According to a report from the WA State Auditor, the Washington State Department of Agriculture is lagging badly in its legally-mandated egg inspection program. By law, WSDA must inspect egg production facilities once a year, and visit egg packing facilities every quarter. Production facilities are where the eggs are laid by the chickens and then gathered and transported to packing plants.

A 124-unit apartment community in Bothell has sold for $34.75 million, according to CBRE, which arranged the sale. The Woodstone Apartments community, built in 1989, is located at 16520 North Road. The property sits on 6.42 acres with one-, two-, three-bedroom units, 86% of which have been renovated, according to a news release this week from CBRE. Community amenities include a pool, spa, fitness center, playground, and clubhouse.
