Taco-lovers are heading back to the Guilford Fairgrounds as the New England Taco Festival returns for its fourth year on July 27 and 28. The festival, billed as a one-of-a-kind event, spans over two days, bringing music and entertainment, along with the eponymous tacos. WHAT: The 15th annual Calvanese Foundation Beer & Wine Tasting Festival will take place at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville on July 25. The event benefits the Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals in the Southington community through donations to charitable causes, organizations and schools. Co-sponsored by Southington’s Worldwide Wine & Spirits, the event featured samples of beer, wine and spirits from more than 50 vendors, with VIP access to a separate Premier Tasting section offering tastes of high-end wine and spirits. Guests can pair beverage tastes with food by the Aqua Turf Club and several local food trucks.
