New executive director for Boys State
The American Legion Department of Kansas Boys State Committee has appointed Kyle Wheatley to serve as the executive director of the American Legion Boys State of Kansas. Wheatley’s term began on July 1. He takes over for Tom Wierman who served in the role for the past four years.
Temperatures take a dip, storm chances through mid-week
Early storms to start the day will be around through at least mid morning. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the northeast corner of our area will be in effect until 9am. Strong to severe storms to the north have had a history of producing wind gusts between 70 and more than 90 mph. Storms around and east of the Kansas Turnpike are also being monitored closely.
