U.S. Army soldiers deployed to combat wildfires in Boise and Payette National Forests
At the request of the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), approximately 250 U.S. Army soldiers from the 14th Brigade Engineer Battalion have been deployed to assist in battling the fires in Boise and Payette National Forests. These soldiers are working to contain several wildfires, including the Boulder, Snag, Wolf Creek, Dollar, and Goat fires, which make up the Mountain Complex fires.
