    Bosque Commissioners approve lake patrol contract at Feb. 26 meeting News Staff Wed, 03/20/2024 - 05:45 Image Body

    The Bosque County Commissioners Court during its regular meeting on Monday, February 26, approved a twoyear contract with and between Bosque County Sheriff’s Office and US Army Corps of Engineers for lake patrol.

    According to the contract, BCSO deputies patrol the lake from the first week in May to the first weekend in September – a total of 160 hours.

    For 2024, the total contract price is $84,409.57; for 2025, the price is $90,882.24.

    The county has the option to review and renew the contract after year one.

    HVAC The court approved the Lochridge Priest HVAC planned maintenance proposal for the Bosque County Law Enforcement Center.

    Meal grant

    The court approved an affidavit for Home Delivered Meal County Grant Program Year 2023.

    The court approved a correction on the 3rd Quarter Grant Report for Senior Services, and separately approved Senior Services Quarterly Grant Report for 2023 4th Quarter.

    Software

    The court approved the Quadient Mail Meter System renewal for County Court at Law The court approved the Vitals Software with Tyler Technologies for the County Clerks Office.

    Certificates

    The court approved receiving and filing 2024 County Court Assistants Training Certificates of Attendance for Julie Snyder and Wynn Moore.

    Encroachment permits

    The court approved a correction of the Encroachment Permit Application for Moss & Associates at 1131 CR 3405, Area 6, in Precinct 3.

    The court approved the Encroachment Permit Application for Childress Creek Water Supply Company at 1226 CR 3350, in Precinct 3.

    The court approved two encroachment permit application for Thomas Lacy, one at CR 3430 and another at CR 3365, both in Precinct 3.

    The court approved three encroachment permit applications for Moss & Associates in Precinct 3: CR 3405, Area 2.2; CR 3405, Area 10; and CR 3240, Area 15.

    Executive session

    The court took no action after consulting with its attorney in executive session from 9:04 am. - 9:25 a.m.

    Reports

    The court approved receiving and filing the January 2024 monthly reports from County Clerk Tab Ferguson, County Treasurer Pam Browning, and Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Jeff Hightower.

    The court heard the weekly report from Bosque County Office of Emergency Management coordinator Kirk Turner.

    Usual Business

    The court approved and ordered payment of claims, salaries, and wages against both precinct and county funds including the items listed on the expense approval register packet.

    The court approved extending the COVID-19 Declaration of Local Disaster issued by the County Judge, pursuant to Chapter 418, of the Government Code for an additional seven days.
