Children and their parents turned out for the Meridian Public Library’s annual Easter egg hunt on Tuesday, March 12, in historic downtown Meridian.

Around 36 kids and 20 adults participated in the event with the Easter bunny and a magician providing extra entertainment that morning during Spring Break.

    Fundraiser

The Easter egg hunt and Easter bunny’s visit is one of many programs the library hosts during the year.

The public library is a 501© 3 nonprofit that operates from financial contributions and volunteers to provide services for residents in Meridian, Bosque County, and the surrounding counties.

Tickets are currently on sale at the library for its annual spring Jewels & Jeans fundraiser and silent and live auctions.

The fundraiser dinner will be held at the Meridian Civic Center on Saturday, April 20, beginning with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will also go toward the renovations to the library’s new building project.
