    ALL DAY – Sign ups for youth football camp are now open through Sunday, June 30. Camp starts July 22, with padded practice on August 1. Games will start after Labor Day. The tackle football camp for children 1st - 6th Grade is through the Meridian Youth Football Association. The price is $95 for one player; $165 for two players, and includes game pants, socks, Jersey with name, helmet, and shoulder pads, but excludes practice pants, cleats, mouth guard, and practice jersey. Email forms to dbaldivia@blackoakplumbing.com 8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. – North Bosque Helping Hands food pantry will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays of every week from 8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and every second Thursday of the month.

    10 a.m. - 12 p.m. – Free, fresh food will be available for families for pick up from the Tarrant-Area Food Bank's Mobile Food Pantry at the EpiCenter Youth Complex in Meridian. Food distribution runs from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Volunteers are needed between 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Starting last year, the pick-up site moved from Meridian High School to the youth complex located at 214 North Main Street (old post office). The distribution is on the second Wednesday of the month. For more info, visit www.epicentermeridian. org. 10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. – Story Time for pre-school and early elementary kids will be held at the Meridian Public Library.

    8:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. – Clifton Independent School District and Goodall-Witcher Healthcare will present the 3rd Annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair. Dogs from the Bosque

    12 p.m – The Clifton Lions Club is to meet at 12 p.m. for its regular meeting on the second Thursday of the month at First United Methodist Church in Clifton. For more info, contact Renee at (254) 386-7358.

    12 p.m. – The Meridian Chamber of Commerce will hold its May membership luncheon at the Old Memorial Library. The guest speaker will be from the United Cooperative Services on the topic of solar and wind power. Meal is $13 per person.     ALL DAY – Meridian ISD is holding a school holiday.

    ALL DAY – The deadline to enter the Bosque Arts Center's annual quilt show is today. The entry fee per quilt is $10 with no limit on the number of entries made. Quilts are to be delivered to the Bosque Arts Center anytime from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., May 20 - 24. This year the show has over $2,000 in prize money for the top quilters. The quilt show runs on June 7-8.

    ALL DAY – The SILO Project will host a soft opening at its outdoor community center at 3608 Highway 6 outside of Clifton. The day will include a dog walk, coffee, live music, mead tasting, art vendors, knife sharpening, plant sales, wood-fired pizza, a raffle, and more.     10 a.m. – Meridian ISD will hold its ceremonies for senior awards, robing, and scholarships at the MHS gym.
