    Meridian’s annual Back-To-School Bash is set for Saturday, August 10, at a location to be revealed soon.

    The annual community celebration marks the end of summer and the start of the 2024-25 school year.

    To donate school supplies to teacher and staff at Meridian ISD, visit these drop-off locations in Meridian: The Roost, Bosque Beauty Bar, Small Town Perk, the EpiCenter Youth Complex, First Security State Bank, and Meridian City Hall. Monetary donations will be accepted online at www. EpiCenterMeridian. org. Make checks payable to the EpiCenter Youth Complex. The mailing address is 202 South Erath Street, Meridian, Texas 76665. Supply lists are available online, but here is a run-down by grade level:

    ECSE

    Crayons, markers, construction paper with brown, glue sticks, washable watercolor paints, Kleenex, a plastic folder, and wipes are essential for ECSE students.

    Elementary Life Skills

    Elementary Life Skills students will need scissors, Playdoh, a plastic pencil box, a 3-ring binder, a 2-pocket folder with prongs, a wide-ruled composition book, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, dry erase markers, construction paper, white cardstock, Kleenex, wipes, earbuds or headphones, and storage bags.

    PK-3

    PK-3 students should have over-ear headphones, a supply box, jumbo crayons, large-size washable markers, a large glue stick, six plastic folders with pockets and brads, wipes, Kleenex, and a wide-ruled spiral notebook.

    PK-4

    PK-4 students will require two pairs of headphones, a zipper pencil pouch, two boxes of 8-count crayons, large-size washable markers, #2 pencils, soft pink erasers, scissors, a large glue stick, six plastic folders with pockets and brads, Kleenex, and a wideruled spiral notebook.

    Kindergarten

    Kindergarten students need one large zipper pencil pouch, four jumbo glue sticks, one bottled glue, twelve #2 pencils, two soft pink erasers, scissors, three 24-count regular size crayons, six folders with horizontal pockets, one box of zipper sandwich bags, one box of zipper gallon bags, two pairs of headphones, and one bottle of hand sanitizer.

    1st Grade

    First-grade students will require a wideruled composition notebook, two large pink erasers, two boxes of 24-count crayons, a box of washable 10-count markers, two glue sticks, a yellow plastic folder with horizontal pockets (no brads), a box of sandwich bags, a box of gallon bags, two boxes of Kleenex, a plastic school box (8.5 x 5), scissors, a nylon pencil pouch with a clear window, and two pairs of headphones.

    2nd Grade

    Second-grade students need a 5x7 supply bag, colored pencils, #2 pencils, 24-count crayons, washable markers, a 4-count of dry erase markers, colored construction paper, manilla paper, two yellow highlighters, four large glue sticks, Fiskars scissors, two large pink erasers, pencil top erasers, clear paper protectors, six plastic folders with pockets and brads (in specific colors), three wide-ruled composition notebooks, two pairs of earbuds, wet wipes, two boxes of Kleenex, gallon size bags, and sandwich size bags.

    3rd Grade

    Third-grade students will need two pairs of earbuds, a 2'-3 ring binder (zipper binders are preferred), a zipper pouch for the 3-ring binder, three plastic folders with pockets (green, red, and blue), a folder with pockets and brads, five composition notebooks, a large pair of scissors, two highlighters, sixty #2 pencils, a 24-package of colored pencils, twelve glue sticks, two dry erase markers, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, and paper towels.

    4th & 5th Grade

    Fourth and fifthgrade students require six pairs of earbuds, a large 3-ring binder (zipper binder preferred), a zipper pouch for the 3-ring binder, four 1-subject notebooks (wideruled), large scissors, a highlighter, a handheld pencil sharpener with a container, two 12-packs of #2 pencils, two pink erasers, colored pencils, four glue sticks, six dry erase markers, and Kleenex Middle School/High School Middle and high school students will need #2 pencils, fine tip dry erase markers, highlighters, washable markers, Kleenex, 1' 3-ring binders, spiral notebooks, composition books, pencil top erasers, a pink eraser, scissors, and plastic folders with horizontal pockets (no brads).

    MISD registration Registration is now open at Meridian ISD for the 2024-25 school year.

    Returning students and new can now enroll online via the district's 'Parent Portal.'

    Documents should be printed and turned in at the campus offices -- the most important docs being the 'Socioeconomic Form.' This form is a must for all and can be filled out once for a family. If you are not able to print please come by the MISD adminsitration offices starting Monday, July 22.
