ABILENE, Texas — Wednesday afternoon, the temperature climbed to 113 degrees F. This is the highest temperature ever recorded in Abilene, TX. Full year records go back to 1886. The 113 degrees certainly broke the previous record high temperature for August 21st of 106 degrees set just last year.
