Power back on for over 500 PG&E customers in City of Shasta Lake area
SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. 11:40 A.M. UPDATE - Power is back on for 536 PG&E customers in the City of Shasta Lake area on Saturday, the PG&E outage map states. The power went off at around 7:23 a.m. on Saturday and was impacting customers along and between Lake Boulevard and Cascade Boulevard.
Brookings businesses benefit from Wild Rivers Film Festival tourism
BROOKINGS, Ore. – The second annual Wild Rivers Film Festival is establishing another tourism tradition that helps boost the Brookings economy. “I’m hopeful the Wild Rivers Film Festival will continue to grow and we’ll start seeing the fruits of their reward at the film festival with packed restaurants and venues all over town with folks going out and spending a lot of money,” said new city manager Tim Rundel, who also happens to be a documentary filmmaker with a short film in this year’s festival. “Tourism is a big industry here in Brookings, we attract a lot of people.”

Northwest ironworkers reject a second employer offer
Ironworkers in Oregon and Washington will vote on a third employer offer after previously voting down a second employer offer in mail ballots counted July 31.
