Caro officials, Fair board to discuss future of camping
CARO — Earlier this year, the city of Caro and the Tuscola County Fair Board inked a five-year lease for use of the fairgrounds. That lease allowed camping at the fairgrounds, but with some conditions, based on limits imposed by existing ordinances. It allows the use of recreational vehicles, trailers or buses for no more than 14 days in any 90-day period, and limits three of those vehicles on each lot within the fairgrounds.

Harness racing is back at Midland County Fair
On Aug. 9 and 10, spectators have a chance to witness harness racing at the Midland County Fair for the first time in eight years. Racing will take place on the half-mile track at the grandstands just before the official start of the fair: Friday, Aug. 9 from 6-9 p.m. under the lights, and Saturday, Aug. 10 from 2-5 p.m.
