Rib Fest cooks up appetizing slate of events for 2024
BAY CITY, MI – Four nights of live music, fun events and some of the best-tasting barbecue from around the country is coming to Bay City this week. Beginning Thursday, July 25, the Labadie Rib Fest will be cooking up an appetizing array of festivities for the whole family. This year’s event will feature everything from music, vendors a petting zoo and a cornhole tournament.

Bay City Public Schools Has Bus Tracking App for Parents and Caregivers
Bay City Public Schools is launching an app for parents and guardians that will allow for accurate, real-time tracking of their children’s school buses. The Stopfinder application was created by the district’s routing software company, Transfinder. It is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their children’s bus location. The app is also a two-way communication tool, providing parents with an easy way to communicate quickly with district transportation officials and receive instant notifications.
NEWS: Pair of Warriors Highlight GPAC National Award Nominees
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced its 2023-24 nominees for the top honors in the NAIA, including the A.O. Duer Award, the Emil S. Liston Award, Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award and the NAIA Coach of Character Award. Midland University had a pair of student-athletes honored at the conference level and will move on for consideration for the national awards which will be announced in September.

The Aces are 16-10 with three straight win. The Aces wrap up regular season action Tuesday, July 30th as they host Miesville at 8pm in a makeup game on KCUE. Bay County Homeless Man Reported Missing
The Bay County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a missing homeless man. Police say 32-year-old Tyler Joseph Laurain was last seen July 10 in the area of the Bay City Walmart. Family members say Laurain frequently visits fast food restaurants to use their wifi. He is described as white, standing 5’10” and weighing around 130 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He may also have a long beard.
