Sun State Builders completes construction of mixed-used industrial retail center in Mesa

Sun State Builders recently completed construction on a $17 million mixed-use industrial retail center in Mesa known as Gateway Quads.

The 122,780-square-foot center via Greenwood and McKenzie Real Estate Investments is on East Germann Road and South 80th Street. The project began construction in August 2023 and finished in late April 2024.

Gateway Quads has four 30,680-square-foot buildings. Tenants can lease an entire building or divide the buildings into smaller spaces. One building could be developed into four smaller 7,600-square-foot spaces.

The spaces include masonry construction, 24-foot ceilings and multiple truck loading areas.

“This is a unique industrial office facility for the East Valley and specifically Mesa,” explains Andrea Piering, president of Sun State Builders. “It is a mixed-use complex that is geared to small businesses with an opportunity to adapt for a company’s operational needs.”

As space is leased, Sun State Builders, which has been working with Greenwood and McKenzie for 40 years, will begin construction to accommodate for the specific tenants that will be using the space.
