Queen Creek unified breaks ground on new school in Mesa

The Queen Creek Unified School District has broken ground on its newest elementary school.

District officials and local leaders gathered in Mesa this week to turn the soil for Mountain Trail Elementary School, the district’s 10 ^th elementary school.

Located near the intersection of East Galveston Street and South Mountain Road in Mesa, the 90,000-square-foot facility will serve as the learning space for the district's second STEAM- (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) focused school.

The school is set to open in July 2025, in time for the 2025-26 school year.

The construction and acquisition of land for the school was funded by the state School Facilities Division.
