The government solutions team at Verra Mobility, a global technology company based in Mesa, this week packed more than 200 backpacks with school supplies and donated them to Child Crisis Arizona, which will give them to children in the foster care system and from lower-income households.

Nearly 30 Verra Mobility employees helped pack the backpacks with three dozen items such as notebooks, folders, pencils, hand sanitizer, water bottles and more.

The company partners with Child Crisis Arizona as a way to give back to the local community, a release states.

During the event, a check for $5,000 was given to the nonprofit organization to go toward funding their programs for children in need – a mission that aligns with Verra Mobility’s corporate philanthropic values, it states.

“The company believes in providing resources to sick, unsafe or hungry kids in any way that we can. Programs include emergency shelter for kids and teens in abusive living situations, child care and early education, adapted camps and activities for disabled children, foster care to adoption programs and much more,” the release states.

Verra Mobility is at 1150 N. Alma School Road in Mesa. Go to https://www.verramobility.com .
