2024 Hometown Heroes Banner Program kicks off June 7

The Mesa veterans program of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the 2024 edition of the Hometown Heroes Banner Program in downtown Mesa.

The program displays dozens of banners twice a year for two weeks in downtown. The first display will open at 8 a.m. Friday, June 7, at the northwest corner of Center Street and Main Street.

“This year, we worked to expand the program to include more veterans in our community. This allowed us the opportunity to honor 88 banner recipients in the 2024 program,” stated Chamber President Sally Harrison.

The displays will be available June 7-28.

“This expansion of the program included the addition of new banner locations. In addition to the existing banners locations on Main Street and Center Street, we will have a continuation of banners on the south side of Center Street and banners featured along Macdonald and Robson,” Harrison said.
