    It’s a good time to be a model train enthusiast in Mesa as The Arizona Big Train Operators model train club will bring its model railroad display to the Red Mountain Branch of Mesa Public Library July 22-26.

    The more than 500-square-foot display at 635 N. Power Road features a wide range of garden-size model trains, historical dioramas, multiple passing tracks, villages, bridges, towns and more. There will also be a separate toy train specifically for children to operate alongside a separate set of tracks.

    The list of days and times to view the display are below:

    10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, July 22;
    10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, July 23;
    10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24;
    10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, July 25;
    10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 26.

    The event is free and open to children and families of all ages. There will be model train operators on-site to answer questions and show how the model railroad is designed and constructed.
