Car theft suspect identified
MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — The suspect of a stolen vehicle that led into a police chase Thursday morning has been identified as 25-year-old Justin Souther of Aurora. Souther has been charged with second-degree aggravated motor theft of $20,000 or more, reckless driving and obstruction of a peace officer, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Grand Junction Lions Club to hold check presentation ceremony
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - The Grand Junction Lions Club will be presenting 1/3rd of their monetary pledges to community organizations this upcoming Tuesday. The 95th Annual Raffle and Carnival that occurred this past February, brought in enough funds for the Lions Club to share with the community. The Grand Junction Lions through their Community Betterment Committee were able to fund over $157,000 to 15 organizations in Mesa County just this year.
Man arrested following police chase
MESA COUNTY, Colo. — A Thursday morning car chase ended with the suspect allegedly hiding in a drainage ditch before needing rescue and transportation to a nearby hospital. The chase began around 9:30 a.m. after a Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a possible stolen car near 29 1/4 and D roads in Clifton.
