Candidates invited to join Little Miss Gilbert contest

GILBERT—A pizza party is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Gilbert City Hall for girls interested in being this year’s Little Miss Gilbert.

Girls ages 5-12 who live in Gilbert, Sparta, Hutter, Genoa and McKinley are eligible. The winner will represent the city of Gilbert in the 3rd of July parade, the July 4 kiddie parade and other Gilbert events as well as other area parades. Her reign will be from July 3, 2024, through July 2, 2025.

The winner is determined by selling $1 raffle tickets, with proceeds used to defray the costs of the parade and fireworks.

Vinessa Peterson is the reigning 2023 Little Miss Gilbert. She is the daughter of Spencer and Nicole Peterson of Gilbert. She will crown her successor in early July.
