EVELETH—A Forbes woman was charged Wednesday with a drive-by shooting offense and one other felony count for allegedly shooting a 9 mm handgun 14 times at the Hells Angels Clubhouse in Eveleth Monday morning, court documents show.

After being arrested, Adrien Marie Gunderson, 39, said “I f—-n hate the Hells Angels right now’’ and stated “my gun is in my backpack,’’ according to the criminal complaint.

Around 6:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of a female in a silver Jeep who shot at the front door of the clubhouse. The Eveleth Police Department reported the address as 413 Grant Avenue in its initial news release.

An officer spoke to the reporting party and learned the reporting party was sleeping on a couch and was awakened by a disturbance at the front door. A different member of the club confronted a female at the front door, told the female to leave and shut the door. The reporting party then heard loud banging noises and the member who answered the door ran out of the line of fire.

“Officers located 14 9mm casings scattered around the street and sidewalk in front of the clubhouse, apparent bullet holes on the front door of the clubhouse, and apparent bullet damage inside the front entryway of the clubhouse.’’

Court documents also say city of Eveleth camera footage showed the Jeep Commander arrived and parked in front of the clubhouse around 6:12 a.m.; a female with a partially-shaved head wearing ripped jeans and a Harley Davidson sweatshirt exited the vehicle; the female approached the clubhouse front door, pointed a handgun at the door and fired multiple rounds; the female returned to the Jeep and drove out of view.

Talking with the Jeep’s registered owner enabled authorities to determine the owner’s granddaughter (Gunderson) also lived at the Forbes address.

Officers responded to the Forbes address and subsequently arrested Gunderson, whose hair and clothing matched that of the suspect, court documents say. Officers also found a backpack containing a 9mm handgun, multiple magazines and rounds of ammunition in her room.

Gunderson faces one count of dangerous weapons-drive-by shooting toward an occupied building; and one count of possession of ammo/any firearm-conviction or adjudicated delinquent for crime of violence. She faces a maximum sentence of 15 years and/or a $30,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, Gunderson cannot possess a firearm based on a prior conviction for a crime of violence, a third-degree controlled substance conviction.
