Man, 26, injured in hit-and-run near Kinney

KINNEY—A 26-year-old man was airlifted to a Duluth hospital with serious injuries Thursday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident just south of Kinney, a St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office news release said.

First responders and law enforcement were dispatched at about 4:45 p.m. to the 5300 block of Highway 25 after the man was found lying in the ditch. Upon arrival, they found him and determined he had been struck by a vehicle which had fled the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol.

Assisting agencies were: Chisholm Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Kinney Fire Department and First Responders, Buhl Ambulance and Fire Department, and Life Link III.
