26 new homes to be added to Sylvania-area senior living community
Trilogy Health Services plans to add 13 two-unit patio homes to the Lakes of Sylvania, a senior living community just south of Sylvania-Metamora Road and west of Mitchaw Road. “We are excited to bring this addition to our facility here in Sylvania, a community with a rapidly growing population in the 65-plus age group,” said Emily Culbertson, executive director of the Lakes of Sylvania. “Currently, there are not a lot of options within our five-mile radius that cater to the needs and desires of our senior residents.” Patio homes typically share a common wall but no common interior spaces. They may or may not have a patio and they tend to be energy-efficient. Their open layouts avoid narrow hallways and doorways, making them easier for mobility-impaired people to get around in. The homes planned for Sylvania Township will come in two villa layouts, a 1,250-square-foot one-bedroom home with a den and a 1,450-square-foot two-bedroom home.
