'Something I've wanted': After close calls, Annie Rodenfels wins Women's 6K Championships
CANTON — There are no more wait till next years for Annie Rodenfels. The Centerville native can finally cross winning the Women's 6K Championships race off her list. After a few close calls, Rodenfels took home gold Saturday morning in downtown Canton. She won the fourth annual USA Track & Field event in 18:03.

Residents of Ross Township's Laurel Gardens neighborhood found themselves at the center of a spate of thefts early Thursday morning as suspects took advantage of unlocked cars to pilfer personal items. According to a CBS News report, surveillance footage has captured two individuals trying to gain access to cars at around 4:30 a.m. Though specific streets were not disclosed, it is clear that several cars in the community were entered and had items taken from them.

MURDERER SENTENCED TO 85 YEARS
(Richmond, IN)--What amounts to a life sentence behind bars has been handed down to a Richmond man who shot and killed his neighbor and also shot that man’s mother. 44-year-old Elick Allen was sentenced on Wednesday to a total of 85 years behind bars. Back in May of 2021, Allen shot and killed John Day in a trailer on New Paris Pike as the culmination of a dispute that had started the day before. Allen also shot Day’s mother, Brenda. She survived. Richmond Police Chief Kyle Weatherly issued a statement following the sentencing saying that the sentence "sends a firm message that crime will be solved and offenders will be held accountable."

ASHLEY — The Oxford Township Board of Trustees met on April 9, scheduling a road tour with Doug Riedel of the Delaware County Engineer’s Office, the following week. The trustees decided to table a decision on the township’s road improvement project for the year until the next meeting.

OXFORD, Ohio – After a stellar two-year stint at Phoenix College, Danitza Hernandez has signed on to play for the Miami softball team in 2025. Hernandez comes to southwest Ohio after compiling a .427 career batting average, to go along with 45 home runs and 159 RBI in 115 games with the Bears. This past season she hit .432 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI en route to earning NJCAA Division II Second-Team All-American accolades.
