Local church to celebrate 200 year-anniversary
Fayette County is now over 200 years old. Most of it was sliced from Franklin County in 1819. Included in the list of churches that are still functioning after 200 years, is the Village Creek Primitive Baptist Church, located about one mile southeast of Connersville, nestled behind Village Creek Estates, at 1090 S Co Rd 150 E. It was organized July 24, 1824 at the home of Robert Gilky.

NEW BUSINESS TO LOCATE NEAR URANUS
(Richmond, IN)--An ordinance for the new Uranus Fudge Factory on the former New Creations property at the state line was referred to the Richmond Plan Commission Monday night. But there was also discussion of another new business adjacent to that property. It would be located in the former New Creations gym. "Professional wrestling, bands, concerts..." said Council President Gary Turner in describing some of the events that would take place. The business's name was not mentioned Monday night. JUVENILES ARRESTED FOR UPTOWN RICHMOND CRIME SPREE
(Richmond, IN)--Three juveniles have been arrested and charged after a series of incidents in the Uptown Richmond area. There had been several reports of vandalism in the area and, more seriously, an attack on a homeless man who was sleeping outside the city’s parking garage. Investigators had posted surveillance images of the three juveniles. Those images, along with forensic evidence, allowed investigators to identify and track down the juveniles. They are not being identified because of their age.
