Man frustrated after he says his service dog wasn’t allowed on bus
JACKSON, Miss. — A Texas man who was stuck at the bus station in Jackson is angry that he couldn’t get on a bus because of his service dog. August Bailey said he was stranded for nearly 24 hours after he claims the bus drivers wouldn’t allow him to board their buses because of his service animal. Bailey said that is a violation of the American Disability Act, which prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities.

CANTON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Canton will be the location for the new Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) warehouse. Cancer Fundraiser for Harper Grace at Elks Lodge August 24
VICKSBURG, Miss. – A fundraiser for Harper Grace, a local 5 year old St. Jude Patient, will be held at the Elks Lodge #95 on August 24. The event will have $10 chicken plates from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and both a live and silent auction. There will also be a $20 per hand Poker Run, additional hands are $5. Registration for the Run begins at 8:30 a.m., with kick stands up at 9 a.m.
