Lowering Humidity leads to reasonable mid summer weather across the Northeast & Mid Atlantic

The system formerly known as Debby is long gone and now we can enjoy nice dry Canadian air for the next several days. Dew points will be slowly coming down today but they will still be on the high side into the afternoon. Look for decreasing clouds and increasing sunshine from west to east on this Saturday. High temperatures will be mostly in the lower 80s. Some warmer spots to the south could push it to 84 or 85 for a high. Dew points will be settling in the upper 50s to lower 60s by the end of the day. We have no issues with showers as the radars are going to be nice and quiet locally for awhile.

Toinght we should be mainly clear skies. Most lows away from warmer urban centers will be in the upper 50s while everyone else will be in the low to mid 60s. Weak high pressure builds in Sunday. We will have sunshine with just some passing clouds. Dew points will settle in the 50s to near 60 and afternoon highs will be in the low to middle 80s.

Reasonable temperatures and reasonable humidity for a August summer Sunday; i don't foresee any complaints. The week ahead looks relatively uneventful. We have a northwest flow from Canada all week long and we will see some upper troughs moving through from time to time. These systems will help to re-enforce the dry air all week long. There is no heat in this forecast nor is there any high humidity in the forecast.

It is conceivable that we could go the entire work week without seeing a drop of rain. Monday and Tuesday we see sunshine. Highs both days will be generally in the upper 70s and lower 80s. There might be some clouds later Tuesday as one of those upper troughs moves through. Wednesday through Friday for now look to be dry with at least some sunshine each day. Wednesday highs could reach the low to middle 80s while Thursday and Friday highs will be in the lower 80s. Late next week models are showing the possibility of a hurricane east of the Bahamas and we will be looking at this system more closely in the coming days. The National Hurricane Center is looking for this system to develop in the next few days.
