Detached house sells for $5.2 million in Boston
A spacious historic house located at 149 West Newton Street in Boston has a new owner. The 2,634-square-foot property, built in 1865, was sold on June 28, 2024, for $5,225,000, or $1,984 per square foot. This three-story home offers a spacious layout with four bedrooms and five baths. The home's outer design showcases a a mansard roof frame, with roofing materials crafted from slate. The property is equipped with hot water heating and a cooling system. In addition, the home comes with a one-car garage, offering a designated parking space and extra storage capacity. The property's lot measures 1,224 square feet square feet in area.
Plans unveiled for Packer Ellis Tennis Courts
WINCHESTER - Thanks to funding from fall Town Meeting last year, the town hired engineering firm VHB and Chris Huntress from Huntress Sports to put together a design plan for the Packer Ellis Tennis Courts on Palmer Street in Winchester (near Wedge Pond).
