A NLIHC study reports that a worker earning minimum wage in the state of Georgia would need to work 3.5 full-time jobs to be able to maintain rent for an apartment. For roughly 1.4 million people living in Georgia, a person earning minimum wage would need to work nearly four full-time jobs — or over 140 hours a week — to make monthly rent payments.

Owned by Statesboro native Ginny Hendley, G&G is a new lounge that features arcade games, multiple lounge areas, a bar, pool tables, and more. Public Service Commission to take up plan to add new fossil fuels to energy mix
ATLANTA – Georgia energy regulators already have approved a request by Georgia Power for a significant increase in electrical generating capacity to meet the needs of a growing state. Vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Rincon leaves one person seriously injured
RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) – The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash happened on S. Columbia Ave. near Babcock Furniture in Rincon around 11 a.m. on Saturday. Officials say the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Both lanes of Highway 21 were closed for investigation. It has since re-opened.
