Offering “The Taste of New Orleans” at 9 locations in New Orleans’s French Quarter and Downtown area, Willie’s Chicken Shack is preparing to launch its first location in South Florida . A recent plan review shows Willie’s opening at 1441 Washington Ave in Miami Beach .

Willie’s Chicken Shack offers a variety of chicken choices, including multiple-piece combos, tenders, and wings. In addition to chicken, there are Seafood Platters like the 3 Piece Cajun Catfish served with a honey-glazed biscuit, fries, and dipping sauce. Sides like Jambalaya and Red Beans & Rice and complete the picture.

“Since its inception, Willie’s Chicken Shack has become an integral part of New Orleans culture,” says a description on the brand’s website . “Willie’s is a New Orleans staple much like the Fleur-de-lis. Eating at Willie’s is as much ingrained in the New Orleans experience as strolling down Bourbon Street.”

What Now reached out to owner Aaron Motwani to inquire about plans for the opening: Is there an update on the timeline for the launch? Can we expect the same menu served in New Orleans in Miami Beach or are there any changes? Motwani declined to discuss the project immediately, but What Now is awaiting more information.
