Miami-Dade Man Arrested for Allegedly Raping 6-Year-Old Girl

Miami-Dade, FL - A 57-year-old Miami-Dade man has been arrested on three felony charges for allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl in 2022.

According to an arrest report, the victim, now 8, knew Olivio Ramos, a family friend, as her “tío” — Spanish for “uncle.”

The report states that the victim disclosed to her mother that Ramos sexually assaulted her three times.

The assaults reportedly took place at Ramos’ home in the Tamiami area of West Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade police apprehended Ramos on Wednesday and took him to the agency’s Special Victims Unit in Doral.

During an interview with police, Ramos denied the allegations.

He's been charged with three counts of sexual battery on a minor by an adult.

As of Thursday afternoon, Ramos was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
