On Friday, a press release announced that MaryGold’s by Brad Kilgore , the popular restaurant launched in partnership with Bar Lab back in 2022, will close its doors at Arlo Wynwood on June 1.

But that’s not the end of the story: a transformation is in the works, as the press release announces plans for a brand new concept from Chef Brad Kilgore that will replace MaryGold’s this fall.

“The vibrancy of Miami has always inspired me to bring new, fresh and creative ideas to my culinary creations in order to match the flare and excitement that you see every day in the Magic city,” Chef Brad Kilgore said in the press release. “I have been chewing on a new restaurant concept for a while, and I am looking forward to exploring the time-honored culinary heritages, flavors and experiences close to my heart. I’m excited to share my vision with the world come this fall. Stay tuned for more details to come.”

Kilgore was recognized by Food & Wine as the magazine’s “Best New Chef” and has received glowing reviews.

“Known for signature dishes such as jerk oxtail beignets, the soft egg with scallop espuma and truffle and the short rib ‘vaca frita,’ MaryGold’s was a celebrated brasserie showcasing seasonal and local ingredients that earned Kilgore the distinction of ‘Best Chef 2023’ by Miami New Times ,” says the release.

What Now reached out to Chef Brad Kilgore on Friday to inquire about plans for the new concept. Kilgore was not immediately available for comment.
