Team Behind Juvia to Open New Rooftop Concept

Late last year, word got out that Juvia —the rooftop that closed suddenly in August 2023 after an eleven-year run at 1111 Lincoln Road —had found a new location and was working to reopen in a new, larger space sometime before the end of 2024.

“The level of gastronomy we are looking to offer mandates that we have a large team,” Juvia Group co-owner Jonas Millán said in coverage by the South Florida Business Journal at the time.

Now, the Miami New Times reports that an opening is expected in 2025—but there’s more. On top of the Juvia reopening, Juvia Group (headed up Jonas and Alexandra Millán ) is at work on a brand-new rooftop restaurant: Solana , which will open in Summer 2025 atop the upcoming Standard Residences , located at 3100 NE First Avenue in Midtown .

While many of the details regarding Solana are still under wraps, what’s expected is a space where “guests can indulge in a playful and casual dining experience, enjoying a diverse menu inspired by ‘Riviera Cuisine,’” the coverage says.

“The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami is steps from everything, located in the center of it all,” says the Standard’s website . “Walk downstairs for a bite at Sugarcane, shop at Trader Joe’s, or stop by the new Whole Foods on 29 ^th and Biscayne.”

What Now reached out to Jonas Millán on Friday to inquire about plans for Solana’s opening. Millán was not immediately available for comment.
