Magie
Lagniappe’s monopoly on Miami’s industry of “cute wine bars for big groups” has come to an end with Little River’s Magie. Gold tin ceiling tiles, mismatched velvet sofas, and wooden tables (both round and rectangular) give this place a granny-chic aesthetic. Magie is mostly self-service—you pick out your own bottle of wine and, if you’re hungry, cured meats and cheeses, which they’ll assemble into a charcuterie platter. Wines are mostly priced within the $40 to $65 range, making this perfect for a fun, yet financially responsible night out on the town (yes, that means free parking too). Aside from charcuterie, Magie has a small menu of snacks like escargot, tinned fish, and olive tapenade on crispy bread. It’s also conveniently located next to The Citadel so you can always cross the street for one of our favorite burgers from USBS if you’re still hungry.

Girl Dinner
Every day from 4pm to 7pm, you can pick a bottle of wine under $50, and it’ll also come with a golden grilled cheese and a charcuterie plate for a total of $65. Magie calls this “girl dinner” but it’s a deal so good everyone should take advantage.

Miss Peaches
The best salads tend to have no lettuce at all. This one has shiny dollops of stracciatella, prosciutto, and marcona almonds to give you a bite so good, it reminds you that you are a salad person.

Escargot
Garlicky tender snails layered on pieces of crusty bread make for a simultaneously crunchy and chewy bite. Have this with some chilled white wine to feel like you’re having a mini vacation in St. Tropez with your three best friends whom you secretly spread chisme about when they’re not around.

Truffle Tapenade Toast
This is a toast so fancy that we feel compelled to eat it with a raised pinky while swirling our glass of wine with the other hand. Try it. Now you look sophisticated enough to give a lecture on olive history.
