Why Real Housewives of Miami Is Perfect, and Shouldn’t Be Changed

Bienvenido! Welcome to Miami and to my little article about why the Real Housewives of Miami shouldn’t be tweaked. The drama has always been caliente, thanks to the Latina women at the helm of the series. The Real Housewives franchise felt different from other cities most of the time. This could be in part due to the lively atmosphere of the host city or the fact that the group of women were genuinely friends. Whatever the case, Bravo found a secret recipe that worked.

Even though the network paused the franchise for a few years, the Miami women returned stronger than ever. The cast picked up exactly where they left off with a mix of old and new. Due to this, fans were able to enjoy their beloved franchise with no hiccups, arguably making the show one of the best on TV.

The level of delusion is like none other on Real Housewives of Miami

Between the big drama and big personalities, the drama in 33101 moves at warp speed. None of the women harp on one major storyline for the season, so there’s plenty of drama to go around. Of course, there are still the expected arguments, but they seem to have an endpoint unlike on other franchises. Sometimes, it feels like the women live in La La Land.

The season showed Julia Lemigova learning and singing an opera (badly). Even though she did it for love, the performance was beautifully cringy. Then you had Larsa Pippen throw her now ex-boyfriend, Marcus Jordan , a welcome home party after just five days apart. The delusion was delicious and didn’t harm a soul. And it did make for some good TV moments.

Rowing through the drama like…relive every second of the #RHOM gondola ride on @Peacock!

Season 6 featured a crazy gondola ride in Mexico City that left me in physical tears. What started as a colorful afternoon break turned sour after Lisa Hochstein tried to feed a dog she felt was homeless. The ride with the Miami ladies is going to go down in history. Between the island of the dolls, Julia and Guerdy Abraira vomiting over the side, Lisa and Kiki Barth screaming at one another, and a Mariachi band playing them off the water. Producers must have been in editing heaven.

I would recommend one change for Real Housewives of Miami…

Okay, hear me out. If Bravo was going to make one change, I would push for the network to promote Kiki. The model is awesome and always adds her own flavor to each season. So it would be nice to hear more about her back story and life. Kiki doesn’t even try, and she emulates the girl’s girl. The mother of two is supportive and non-judgy. What I particularly love about her is her sense of “real life ” that others like Lisa lack.

With Kiki, she has no thrust, and zero f*cks are given. She just acts as she genuinely is. At times, it often feels like she forgets the cameras are even there. Kiki meshes well with the other women, and her running around cheering on the croquet green with one tittie hanging out the side makes me laugh every time I think about her.

East Coast is the best coast

The bottom line is that the Real Housewives of Miami are the best. They are so outrageous and fun. The women have no filter, so they remind me of the Real Housewives of New York and the Real Housewives of New Jersey . The fashion is amazing, bright, and colorful. The melting pot of a cast is so good that they could have an episode filled with “friends of” and be fine. Unlike some of the West Coast franchises, the Real Housewives of Miami are cosmopolitan, multilingual, and multicultural—the perfect blend of mess and friendships.

The Golden Girls said it best: “Miami, Miami, you’ve got style. Blue skies, sunshine, white sand by the mile. When you live in this town, each day is sublime, and the coldest of winters are warm and divine.” So please, Bravo, don’t go and break our hearts by messing with a good thing.
