Miami, FL - A Domino’s pizza delivery driver was shot in the hip during a confrontation with a customer on Tuesday night.

The shooting, which stemmed from a language barrier, led to the arrest of 51-year-old Aaron Wallace Ford.

According to police, Ford became agitated when the driver, who only spoke Spanish, attempted to confirm the order.

The situation escalated, resulting in the driver being pushed into the trunk of his car.

\As the driver tried to leave, Ford allegedly pulled out a gun and fired, striking the victim.

The victim was able to call 911 and follow the suspect until police arrived.

Ford was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, illegal possession of a firearm, and providing false identification.

    The investigation is ongoing.
